Meet Criminal Defense Attorney Ron Dinan
Ron Dinan was raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. After a year of college, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1966. Prior to going to Vietnam, Ron spent six months at Camp Pendleton in Southern California. It was during this time that he made the decision to eventually move to California.
Ron served with the First Battalion, 5th Marines, in Quang Nam Province, West of Danang in 1967. After returning from Vietnam, he spent 3 months in the Jacksonville Florida Naval Hospital and eventually was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps in 1968. Returning to college, Ron graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Miami in 1971. After acquiring an MBA, he then attended and graduated from law school with a Juris Doctor degree in 1974.
Moving to California, Ron opened his first office in Santa Rosa in 1976 and, over the years, his firm has expanded to six offices in SantaRosa, Napa, San Rafael, Lakeport, Ukiah and Eureka. RDA is exclusively a criminal defense firm and the attorneys in the firm have handled over 12,000 cases.
Ron is a member of the California Attorneys for Criminal Justice, California DUI Lawyers Association (Specialist Member), National College for DUI Defense and a "Life Member" of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
In March 2013, Ron founded the first Free VA Legal Access Clinic in California providing free legal advice and representation to all combat and non-combat veterans at the Santa Rosa Veterans Administration office. The VA Clinic just celebrated its 8th anniversary.
Ron has been married to his wife, Sinda, for 30 years and, together, they have three children – Jason, Alexandra, and Nick.
