About Ronald Dinan
Meet Your Criminal Defense Attorney
Ron Dinan was raised in Fort Lauderdale and graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas
High School in 1964. He began his college career that year and two years
later joined the U.S. Marine Corps. Prior to going to Vietnam, Ron spent
six months at Camp Pendleton in Southern California; it was during this
time that he made the decision to eventually move to California.
Ron served with the First Battalion, 5th Marines, in the Quang Nam Province
outside of Danang in 1967. After returning from Vietnam, he was honorably
discharged from the Marine Corps in 1968. Returning to college, Ron graduated
with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Miami in 1971
and continued his education by acquiring an MBA and then graduated from
law school with a Juris Doctor degree in 1974.
Moving to California, Ron opened his first office in Santa Rosa in 1976
and, over the years, his firm has expanded to six offices in Santa Rosa,
Napa, San Rafael, Lakeport, Ukiah and Eureka. His firm is exclusively
a criminal defense firm and has handled over 12,000 cases.
Ron is a member of the California Attorneys for Criminal Justice, California
DUI Lawyers Association (Specialist Member), National College for DUI
Defense and a "Life Member" of the National Association of Criminal
Defense Lawyers.
In March 2013, Ron founded the first VA Free Legal Access Clinic in California
providing free legal advice and representation to veterans at the Santa
Rosa Veterans Administration office.
Ron has been married to his wife, Sinda, for 25 years and, together, they
have three children – Jason, Alexandra, and Nick.
